There aren’t many people around you who understand the pain your divorce or separation has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends. That’s the reason for DivorceCare. It’s a series of support groups and seminars conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life.
At DivorceCare, you will become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing separation and divorce. By interacting with these people, you’ll learn there are others who understand what you are feeling and will be able to offer you encouragement. You’ll also have a chance to talk about the information presented during the seminar. Many participants say these support groups are the most helpful part of the program.
DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) is a companion series designed for children in grades K-5 to attend while their parent is in DivorceCare. DC4K addresses many of the same issues as DivorceCare, but at the child's level of understanding.
The Split is tailored for students in grades 6-12. This discussion-based environment also deals with the same issues, but at a level appropriate for teenagers. Your child will be encouraged to turn to God as the source of wisdom, comfort, and guidance through this difficult season of life.
New sessions of DivorceCare/DC4K/The Split begin in January and August of each year. Enrollment is open, but limited. You can join at any time during the series as long as there is space available. Please contact us to check on availability by location.
There are two separate Spring 2012 sessions for DivorceCare. One is offsite (in Wyndhurst) and the other at BRCC on Thursdays. DC4K and The Split are offered at BRCC along with DivorceCare. The Spring session will begin on January 19.
The cost is $20 for DivorceCare ($25 for the offsite session), $25 for DC4K, and $10 for The Split If the fee would cause such a financial burden that it would keep you from attending, please contact us about the possibility of getting a scholarship.
